Our team of occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants help children with special needs to develop the skill sets necessary to fully participate in everyday school activities.
An occupational therapist addresses the fine motor development, self-help skills, visual motor integration, visual perceptual skills, and sensory processing to
maximize a child's function in his/her everyday activities.
Common occupational therapy intervetions include the development of motor skills for children to fully participate in school, sports, or social situations.
If a child that is referred for an occupational therapy evaluation is determined to need therapeutic services, our therapists develop individually tailored goals and provide the targeted therapeutic services. Our therapists operate from a holistic perspective by focusing on adapting the child's environnment within the school setting, to suit the needs of the child. As a therapeutic team, we engage children in Evidence-Based Practice.
